Applications To Instrument

Currently running applications:

Displays a list of currently running applications. Select one or more applications and use the 'add' button (>) to add the application to the list of applications to be instrumented. In order for System Operations to be traced for an application, the application has to be in the list of applications Repro will instrument.

In order to trace system operations for java programs, select the java virutal machine application (java.exe).

Applications Repro will instrument:

Displays the applications Repro will instrument. To remove applications from this list select the applications and use the 'remove' button (<).

Browse

If the application you want to instrument is not in the list it is because it is not currently running. Browse to locate application .exe(s) to be instrumented when they are next executed.

Number of Bytes

During the data acquisition of system operations, it is possible to record actual data as it flows through the program. Specify in this box the maximum number of bytes you would like to capture during the recording of this flow. A larger number of bytes of data acquired will result in a larger Repro file and a higher RAM overhead during recording.

System Operations

Check the system operation category that you would like to instrument. If you are not interested in certain system monitors, unchecking them will result in reduced CPU and RAM overhead, and a smaller Repro file.
